How it reaches the lock screen
Android phones have no lock screen widget API, so Shibu draws onto your wallpaper instead. Android paints the same wallpaper behind both the lock screen and the home screen, so one live wallpaper covers both. There is also an ordinary home screen widget if you would rather keep your own wallpaper.
Entirely offline
Shibu declares no internet permission, so it cannot phone home even by accident. All 419 kanji ship inside the app. See the privacy policy.
